Textify

If you have ever looked up an error message on the Internet, then you will definitely appreciate what Textify can do for you. This simple little application is capable of turning non-editable text into editable text. Instead of transcribing a long error message to look it up, you can just copy the message to the clipboard and save up valuable time.

The application is absolutely free and you can have it up and running in no time. All you have to do is extract a small executable from a ZIP archive and run it. There is no need to go through an installation process and there are no special requirements you have to meet.

Running the application and letting it work in the background will enable you to capture non-editable text at any time. Textify comes with a compact user interface, on which you can choose a key combination for capturing text. You can choose any combination between the Shift, Alt and Control keys and the left, right and middle mouse buttons.

If a message pops up on your screen, while the application is running, you can hover with the mouse cursor over the text and use your defined hotkey. This will instantly make the text editable, in a small text box, right above the original. Finally, you can choose to select the entire text or part of it, edit it or copy it to the clipboard as normal.

Thanks to Textify's smart functionality, any text that shows up on your computer can be captured and edited.
